We found it an easy short walk into the main part of town, and the outdoor balcony was a lovely spot to have coffee while looking out at the water. Breakfast was lovely too. The room felt modern and was great, and the staff were so kind and welcoming. They even showed us where to park, which was a big help since there isn’t much parking around. A great place, and I’d definitely recommend it and come back.

The room for three friends was a bit small for our needs, though I think it would suit a family. What really made us uncomfortable was the tiny bathroom, with mold especially along the top of the shower. The building itself is beautiful, with a great view over the canal. It’s also in a really good spot, just a short walk from the city center. Staff were accommodating, polite, and professional throughout our stay.

The room was ready early, so they let us check in a couple of hours ahead of time, and on our last day the friendly lady hosting us let us leave our bags all day. There isn’t a luggage room, though, so the bags stay in the dining area, where there is a camera. Our biggest problem was sleep. We were in downstairs room 12, right beside the main entrance, and the walls were so thin we heard every hallway conversation and the room above. On our last morning, cleaning upstairs woke us early. The curtains didn’t block much light, and the entrance light came under the door all night. The bed was also a little short for us, since my partner is over six feet. The en suite looked nice, but shower steam went into the bedroom and fogged the mirrors. I think the fan vents into the room. The location is easily the best part, with lots of bus stops nearby and Cork City centre a ten minute walk away. We had a nice stay, but the poor sleep each night let it down. Thanks for having us.

We had a very pleasant stay, and the breakfast was very good. The room had an amazing river view, though I had to keep it ventilated the whole time because it smelled of damp when shut. One of the women working there, the Bolivian lady, was especially kind and helped us whenever we needed it.
