The guests were delighted, and the food they organised for the party was really good quality. I arranged my daughter's party here, and Kevin Moes was excellent from the start, looking after everything we needed. On the day, Mark was great and kept it all running like clockwork 👌 😀

The dining room feels so cosy with the fire lit, and the food and service are wonderful. Just a small note about the Sunday roast: it doesn’t come with much potato. We ordered colcannon mash once it arrived and it was absolutely delicious. I’d love to see it included with the dish from the start.

Wednesday evening trad Irish music sessions are brilliant, with great tunes, a lovely crowd and a great atmosphere. The Horse and Hound has become one of my favourite places, and the rooms are great too. It’s only a short drive off the N11, handy for a pit stop when travelling north or south. The food and service are always top-notch. Four of us had the beef Sunday roast yesterday, and it was fresh, hearty and full of flavour. We had some last-minute changes to the group, and they handled everything without a fuss.

It’s hard to find a lunch place that’s both really good and comfortable for bringing small children, so this worked very well for us. We had Sunday lunch at the restaurant with four adults and three babies, and they were incredibly accommodating. The roast, pork and fennel ragu, and arancini were excellent.

I’m lucky to have the Horse & Hound as my local. The food, atmosphere and pints are exceptional, and Kevin, Mark, Alan and all the team are the best. I had my birthday party there on Saturday night, and the team couldn’t have been more accommodating. Some of our guests stayed in the upstairs rooms too. Thanks, Kevin and team.
