The house is ideally placed for exploring the Burren, cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Ennistymon, Lahinch and Kilfenora. We loved seeing cows in the neighbouring field, and I enjoyed planning our outings over morning coffee in the sunny front room. Fernhill Farmhouse felt like an Irish home away from home, and we can’t wait to return. We stayed there in 2025 and had an incredible time, so much so that we didn’t want to leave. The new owners have completely refurbished this authentic Irish farmhouse. The rooms were warm, tastefully decorated, spotless, and had very comfortable beds. We slept so well. Breakfast was fantastic, WiFi was great, and the hosts were super friendly and full of helpful information about the area. Highly recommend.

The new managers, Steph and Sean, have done wonders since recently taking over this beautiful old farmhouse. Its location is lovely, and the spacious rooms are comfortable. Breakfast was lovely too, and the grounds and gardens are so relaxing. It’s five minutes from Doolin and Lisdoonvarna. Highly recommended!

The location in the Irish countryside is beautiful, but there were several problems. The bathtub was dirty on arrival, with the previous guest’s loofah still in it. WiFi was so slow at 0.2mb/s that it was unusable. Our room wasn’t cleaned during the day, so we got no fresh towels and the bed wasn’t made. The young man who checked us in was polite, but the older woman was unpleasant.

We booked two nights in the quad room but left after just one. Four old beds were crammed into a tiny room, and there were dirty water glasses in the bathroom, half full of water. There were no towels. We could hardly wait to get out and would rather have slept in the car. The owner chased us for payment for both nights. This place was terrible, and I wouldn’t stay here even if desperate.

My husband Paul and I, Beatrice, stayed here in August 2017. Of all the B&Bs on our trip, this was our favourite. Suzanne, the owner, was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She opened her home and heart to us and made delicious breakfast every morning. She always dressed formally, too. I still miss her and hope she’s doing well. I’ve thought of her fondly many times over the past year. Her home was spacious, clean, and so cozy. I hope to return soon to see Suzanne. My friend, Beatrice and Paul Olivo.
