Killfountain Farm

Dingle was the nicest place we've ever visited, and we've travelled to quite a few places around the globe. The village people were friendly, polite and well mannered, and the shop and restaurant staff were lovely too. The stay itself was disappointing. There was no breakfast. A young girl showed us to our room and handed over the keys, but we expected to meet the owners. I saw the farmer a couple of days later and said hello; he said hello back, and that was all. On day three, we asked for clean towels and got them. At first there were two small conditioner bottles and two shower caps. Later, about five small body wash and shampoo bottles appeared on the bathroom sill, which was a big improvement. We asked for more toilet paper but didn't receive any. Noise from a family staying a few doors away was deafening. My husband politely asked them to keep it down because I wasn't feeling well. Once he went outside, it got louder, so I had to get out of bed and ask the man, who may have been the children's father, to do something. The noise eventually stopped, and luckily the family was leaving that day. The worst part was the children's constant door slamming, their dog barking, and loud voices. Their room was just below our bedroom. After four days, a woman knocked and asked if we wanted the bedclothes changed. I said to leave it until later, but when we came back on Saturday, the bed had been changed anyway. ❤ 😍

It's a beautiful, peaceful spot, and I still have lovely memories of the extended time I spent there years ago. It's a bit far from town, but the walk or cycle is enjoyable.

Cute dogs, plenty of free guest parking, and tidy, well-equipped rooms. Booking and checking in or out were easy. The place is warm and quiet, with a good location: 2.3k on foot to the center or 4 min by car.

Basic, and I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the room or beds. The cups had stains all around the rims, so they clearly hadn't been properly washed, just rinsed and put back for the next guests. I also found non head hair in the bed, so I couldn't tell whether the sheets were fresh. I brought wipes and cleaned around myself. The dirt on the surfaces was disgusting.
