Great location, and the staff were always helpful and around when needed. We enjoyed the dining area and bar, both for meals and drinks. The evening entertainment was really nice, though a bit loud in the rooms. It quieted down after midnight. Lovely place to stay.

The room was roomy, comfortable, and clean, and the hotel has a great location. A couple of things caught us out: there was no minibar, and the sockets aren't the usual mainland European type, so bring an adapter. We hadn't thought of that. The bathroom sink also has separate hot and cold taps, which made getting the water to a comfortable temperature tricky, almost impossible. Still, it’s a charming, pleasant Irish hotel with a strong traditional feel.

The Christmas decorations gave the venue a lovely, warm feel, and it was great value. We recently held a work party here, and everything went smoothly. Ashling made planning easy and was so accommodating. On the day, Mags had everything organised perfectly. The venue is lovely, and we’ll definitely return. Highly recommended.

I wish we’d booked somewhere else. The hotel is very central, with a bar on site and a hot breakfast available for an extra charge. We had a suite with two beds. The room was large, but the carpet was stained and pretty unpleasant, and the staff were unfriendly and rude. Our room was above the hotel and bar entrance on the street side. The street is busy and loud, and the old windows did little to keep the noise out. There’s no AC, so in summer you need to open the windows. When we did, cigarette or weed smoke from people by the entrance came into our non-smoking room. The electrical system seems outdated. When I plugged in our US-to-UK adapter to charge our phones, every wall outlet in the room stopped working. We’d used the same adapter at two other UK hotels without any problems. The TV and fan stopped working too. The bathroom was big but dated, with a small fan and a large window that was painted shut. The shower drain was clogged and nearly overflowed each time. I removed the drain cover so the water could flow, and found a lot of hair and other debris underneath. I visited several other nearby hotels during our stay, and after seeing them, I wish I’d known what this place was really like before booking.

The breakfasts were superb, the Guinness was perfect, and the entertainment was top-class. We had a fantastic two-night stay at the Arlington Hotel, with brilliant staff throughout. Loved every minute and will definitely be back. One of my best hotel experiences in Dublin. Highly recommended! 🇮🇪✨
