Arthaus Hotel

It's certainly not a cheap hotel, but I thought it was good value, which matters more. The location made it easy to get to most of the places we visited, and the rooms were very comfortable. We only ate breakfast there, and it was good, though it was buffet only.

The room issue with my in-laws was frustrating. They booked a room with two beds online, but at arrival were told none were available, even though that type had appeared bookable. It caused a lot of unnecessary confusion. Our room was also extremely cramped compared with the rooms on the third floor. On the fifth floor, opening two suitcases left hardly any room to move around the bed. The bathroom had no counter space and no outlets in a useful spot for hair or makeup, so we had to get ready beside the bed and use those sockets. The hotel itself was otherwise fine, but the small room and the mismatch between the reservation and what was provided took away from the stay.

I've put on several events in the private space at Arthaus Hotel, and each time has gone really well. Guests have enjoyed it too, and the team are consistently friendly and professional, which makes arranging things straightforward. The room is spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with controllable heating and background music, a TV, and a cosy feel. The decor is thoughtfully done, stylish but welcoming. Its central location makes it easy to get to by car or public transport. We'll definitely be back.

It was my first trip to Dublin, and I'd stay at this hotel again when we return. We could walk to pubs and landmarks, while being far enough away that nights stayed quiet. The front desk staff were kind and helpful, and let us check in early. Our room was clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was fantastic, especially for easing sore shoulders and backs.
