The woman with blonde hair, a Portuguese accent, and tattoos covering her arm was incredibly rude when we asked to see a room we'd already visited three times. I asked for photos and got a very rude response. My friend, who has been twice, says she was treated the same way. This woman is ill-mannered and seems to know nothing about customer service. I didn't yell or insult her, so I don't understand why she spoke to me with such disrespect. Someone should give her customer service training. Rude, arrogant, and ill-mannered. Maybe they won't respond because this kind of woman is rude when she isn't in control of something. That's not character, it's temperament, and anyone who can't control it shouldn't consider working in customer service. She didn't even apologize. Rude.

The garden area was a nice touch, with ping pong tables, and there’s a free water dispenser. Staff were friendly, and getting to the city centre takes under ten minutes. The rooms are small but usable, though the queen bed could feel cramped for two even when booked as a double. Cleaning was a letdown. The hallway was dusty and had a clump of hair rolling around. My room was somewhat better, but the toilet seat was dirty, there was hair on the bed, and the shower drain was partly blocked. We only got one towel for a four-day stay and had to request another. My room also had no rubbish bin, so I used the one in my parents’ room next door. There’s no air conditioning. When we arrived at 4pm, the curtain was open and the room was extremely hot. Keeping it closed during the day made the temperature manageable, so AC wasn’t necessary if you did that. For what we paid, it wasn’t worth it. I was there for a concert, so the rates were probably higher than usual.

For nearly €400 for two nights, I expected much more. The bathroom was so small it barely worked for one person, and the room was unbearably hot without air conditioning. The mattress was extremely soft, and sitting on it meant feeling the wooden base underneath. There was no bin, and the shower drain was clogged with hair. These are student dorms used as a summer “hotel.” I know the city was busy with several events that weekend, but €200 a night for a small student-style room still felt like a complete rip-off.

We were there for six nights and slept well, since the area stayed quiet at night. The bed worked for our size, and the Wi-Fi was fine. The staff at reception were friendly and accommodating. It’s not far from the city centre or River Liffey. There’s a water dispenser by reception where we could refill our bottles. The sink and shower drains were blocked for the first few nights, but we reported it and, after good communication, staff took care of it. We appreciated how quickly they resolved it and highly commend their effort. There’s a shared kitchen, though we didn’t use it. Given what accommodation costs in Dublin, we felt lucky to find a place that fit our budget.

The location is handy, within easy walking distance of the city centre and plenty of pubs. It was busy-weekend pricing elsewhere, so I saved a lot by staying here. I was comfortable enough for a few nights, but wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay. It’s student housing rented to travellers during holidays, and you can tell. The room and bed were both very small, and I wouldn’t have wanted to share. The place wasn’t especially clean, although reception promptly dealt with the shower drain when I asked. I only used the shared kitchen to fill water bottles, and it didn’t look very clean. My room got hot and stuffy overnight in summer. Opening the window helped, but traffic from the main road and nearby pubs was noisy, so I had to shut it to sleep. There’s also a bathroom sensor light that turns on when you enter and stays on for ages, including at night.
