The apartment itself was okay, but it wasn’t maintained to a good standard. Hot water ran out after two showers, even though there were five of us, and the sink had no filter, so water sprayed everywhere when you used it. The washing machine leaked too. We also had repeated problems getting help. Reception is separate from the apartments, and you have to collect the keys there. The heating didn’t work in one room. We were first told it had been fixed, but it hadn’t; then they brought us a broken heater that barely helped. We asked three times for a second set of keys and got promises, but no keys.

The location is the best thing about these apartments, close to the convention centre and within walking distance of the city centre. Dublin itself is a nice city with plenty of sides and contradictions, and there’s sure to be something you like. But I wouldn’t stay here again. This was my worst experience after visiting many parts of the world. I never met anyone from the company. Check-in was at an office accessed by a unique code, and I couldn’t tell whether apartments followed the same standards or if it was luck which one you got. Ours didn’t look like the photos. The furniture was basic and well worn, there was no soap in the toilet, and only two toilet rolls. There’s a phone number if you need someone. I called for an extra key card and was surprised by the rude response: the first thing the man said was that I’d be charged. I couldn’t tell if he was actually rude or if there was a language barrier. During the heat wave I asked for a fan for my young children and was told there weren’t any. I left a window slightly open for air and found an intruder in the living room. It was frightening, though luckily nobody was hurt. The people on the phone did try to help, but the management has a basic problem and needs to learn about hospitality and running hotels.

The apartments are a good size and have a kitchen, living room with a bed-sized sofa, and comfortable beds. The receptionists were kind and helpful. The location is the best part, right in the city centre and within walking distance of most attractions.

The apartment was okay, but it needed a better clean. Bathrooms were extremely basic and the mattresses weren’t comfortable. Check-in was inconvenient too: it’s only after 4 pm, and there’s nowhere to leave luggage before check-in or after checkout. We had to pay twice to store our bags for a few hours at another place that was a bit far away. There’s no reception desk, everything is automatic. We wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The place is decent and well located, but it’s overpriced for what you get. Our apartment, block 8 apartment 2, had no hot water. The instructions for switching it on were confusing, and the control panel that might have worked was broken: I pressed every button, but the screen stayed off and the water never came on. The electric hob didn’t work either. We waited over an hour for warm water to make noodles. We could have used the kettle, but that wasn’t the point. I wouldn’t choose to stay there again.
