Breakfast was one of the best parts of my stay at Numbers 31. Everything was fresh and delicious, clearly made with care, and the fresh-squeezed orange juice was especially lovely. It’s rare for breakfast to feel this special. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful details that made it feel luxurious and comfortable. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, stylish, and welcoming. Numbers 31 is a Dublin gem, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay with lovely rooms and breakfast.

The bed was quite comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was good, about a 15 minute walk to the centre. Breakfast was decent, with fruit and cake as nice extras, but the full Irish was basic: cheap white toast instead of sourdough, small sausages, and no mushrooms or beans. I’ve had better at a decent cafe, and it didn’t justify the room price. This was a disappointing stay given the high scores and four-star claim. It’s really a B&B, with no staffed bar, restaurant, gym, pool, or much space beyond a small, nicely decorated reception and waiting room. The bedroom was small, with suspect stains on the bed runner. The shower needed caulking, had black mould, and sprayed water onto the floor, so we had to put a towel down to soak it up. The TV had about five channels, no Netflix or international channels, and there was only one roll of toilet paper until we asked for more. There was no air conditioning or iron, and the stiff door lock made it hard to get the key in. At reception there were no hooks or hangers for a suit, so we left our bags on the desk. It just didn’t feel like a quality four-star hotel.

The service was outstanding, and the breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel. Try the “Delia's Full Irish” at least once. The room was large and decorated in a cool art deco style. I’d definitely stay here again if I get back to Ireland.

Delia’s breakfast comes with the room and has delicious traditional Irish options. I loved the fresh-squeezed orange juice. Delia even offered to help us get a uber to the airport. Several restaurants are within walking distance, and MATT, THE THRASHER, was great for seafood. We got an upgraded room without even asking, with calming dimmer lights. There’s also a lovely lounge with a fireplace and small honor bar, and a courtyard with a fire pit. The weather was a bit chilly and windy, but it was still a treat to stay at Number 31. Nicest hotel in Dublin, you must stay here!

The team were friendly, excellent, and really professional, and made us feel so welcome. We liked the service, breakfast, and rooms so much that we booked a second stay for the end of our trip through Ireland. We’re hooked and will be repeat offenders. If you’re looking for perfection in Dublin, Hotel Number 31 is a gem. We’ll be back!
