We stayed on the top floor of this lovely B&B, with a view across the docks to the wooden bridge. You can watch all sorts of ships arriving from the Irish Sea. The house sits right on the seafront, and the moon appears directly outside. You can lie in bed and watch it in the sky, reflected on the sea. A very nice view.

It should be clearly stated that there’s no parking, and there was no breakfast either. I was also unimpressed by how you treated an elderly couple who you knew were in Dublin for a hospital appointment. That isn’t acceptable in your business. Please don’t use Covid as a reason to skip breakfast, it’s time to get with reality.

We spent a lovely Easter break at Slievenamon Manor. John was welcoming and accommodating, picking us up from the airport in his taxi and driving us into Dublin City on another occasion. Our upstairs bedroom had a beautiful view, and the bedding and towels were fresh and clean. It felt safe and secure, like a family home. We ate at local cafés and restaurants each day and evening, all within a 20 minute walk.

A great place for a vacation if you’d rather skip a traditional hotel. Get familiar with the bus routes and you’re set for a lovely stay. Highly recommend.

Lovely guesthouse, comfortable rooms, and a great village with scenic walks. The hosts are lovely, and the location is great with good public transport.
