A handy, affordable place to stay, with plenty to explore nearby. The location worked really well, and the staff were lovely. My plans changed a few times before arrival, but they were flexible and helpful when I emailed. Check-in runs around the clock, and the 700 Aircoach goes to and from the airport for €7. The women's rooms were fine; the bathroom could do with an update.

The hostel was a great base by the Spire, so I could always find my way around Dublin. I was traveling alone while backpacking through Europe, and ended up meeting some great friends who kept me company for the rest of my time in the city. People were welcoming and inclusive, often cooking together, and on Friday, I think, there was free beer. It was my first hostel stay, and it felt like a home away from home. I'd happily come back.

The staff were pleasant, which was a plus, but I wouldn't recommend the place. The beds creak and are so uncomfortable I could feel every coil and spring. It looked clean, though it could use more upkeep. Towels and laundry cost a lot, and there isn't a way to secure your things without paying a daily fee for a locker.

We got there a few hours before check-in, but they let us stay and watch a movie or play PlayStation. The building is clean, and only guests can get inside. Breakfast was really good for a hostel, and the staff were very friendly.

The room's bathroom and other facilities were good, and I liked the common areas and breakfast. But this was probably the worst hostel stay I've had. A jacket disappeared from the four-bed room I shared with my sister and two others on my first day. Nobody was in the room when it went missing, and entry required a card, which made it all the more shocking. I raised it with the Manager several times, I believe his name is Joao, but the jacket never turned up and I never got an explanation. Management offered no real help and treated me badly, though some staff members were more understanding. I spent the rest of the stay worrying about my belongings and dealing with unfriendly attitudes from some staff, not everyone. We had been understanding when the hostel said they needed time to look into it, but we checked out without ever hearing a final answer. I strongly do not recommend this place. It's a shame.
