We had a lovely stay, with a beautiful place, a good breakfast and fantastic staff. The receptionist who welcomed us was called Light, and she was super helpful, getting us into our room early. Thanks for a great stay.

The breakfast room in the basement was the one bright spot, with friendly, welcoming staff there. The rest of the stay was terrible. The receptionist provided very poor customer service and seemed insincere, despite smiling constantly. At first I was assigned a room opposite reception, practically in the entrance corridor. It smelled unpleasant and was extremely noisy. I could clearly hear people talking and laughing at reception from inside the room. When I complained, I was told, “That’s how it is here, we can’t change it.” I stayed polite and calmly asked to move, but got an unfriendly response and an obvious look of annoyance. This is one of the worst hotels or guest houses I've stayed in while visiting Dublin. I won't stay again, and I'll recommend that my company remove it from our business travel hotel list. Avoid it. Everything apart from the basement breakfast room deserves zero stars.

The bathroom could use towel hangers or hooks. Stairs didn't bother me at all, they add character, and there's no elevator. The room was cozy and clean, with a very comfortable mattress and pillows. The hotel is beautifully kept and still has its historical charm. Staff were superb, friendly, helpful and genuinely kind. The location is excellent, close to everything.

The staff were very nice, but the place is a bit ratty and expensive. It was unbelievably loud and really hard to sleep. It needs some renovation, or at least new windows to block out all the street noise.

The rooms are small, and it wasn't very kid friendly when it came to things like high chairs. Still, the staff were super friendly and helpful, breakfast was really good, and the location is great, just a few minutes' walk from Stephen's Green. I'd definitely go back.
