The room was basic but clean. At night, though, we could hear the train outside, and the room was boiling unless we ran the loud air conditioning. Dinner was just okay, nothing fancy. The garden was only a smoking area, and there was nobody looking after either the beer garden or the bar inside, so neither felt cozy. We booked a night with dinner and breakfast included at a hotel that was supposed to be four-star. Before we arrived, I asked for breakfast to take away because of our early flight and was told it would be no problem. We asked again at reception and got the same answer. Later that evening, a third person said no request had been put in, so we asked again. In the morning, nobody could find our breakfast, even after two people looked for it. The whole stay involved going back and forth with staff. Unfortunately, some didn't have conversational English. I'm a foreigner living here myself, but I think hospitality staff should have a certain level. That's down to the hiring manager and the fact that staff seemed to get barely any training. For full disclosure, the hotel also hosts asylum seekers, as it's paid by the Irish government. That's of course fine, but we should have been told beforehand. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. For the money we paid, the whole experience left us very underwhelmed.

When I was organizing a business event, I looked into this hotel and found the staff incredibly helpful. The meeting room is bright, fresh and a good size. The hotel seems to have been refurbished fairly recently, and its public areas are nicely decorated and presented. It's in a very convenient location.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great, with really friendly service. The hotel was close to what I needed and busy during the day, though Talbot Street felt a bit rough around sunset. Staff and service were lovely. A warning about overnight parking: the Connolly Station car park is the closest to the hotel, but I wouldn't leave a car there overnight. The rear window of my rental was smashed, and it seems this happens there regularly. The hotel's website lists it as one of three parking options, so choose a different one.

We booked a King Club Room for one night over the bank holiday and it didn't disappoint. It was really spacious, with an incredible view. The beautiful reception and very friendly welcome set a good tone, and cleanliness was 10/10. Having the club lounge to sit in the sun was the icing on the cake. We can't fault our stay and will definitely return.

The repeated failure to fix the water and the way our complaints were handled made this a very disappointing stay at The Address Connolly, and spoiled what should have been an enjoyable Dublin trip. On the first day, the shower gave only boiling water. A butler who checked it said the hotel couldn't adjust the temperature gauge. We reported it to reception before heading out and were assured it would be fixed, but when we came back, nothing had been done. When we also mentioned the taps weren't working properly, a staff member implied we didn't know how to use a tap. It came across as dismissive, rude and completely inappropriate. There was still no cold water that evening, so at midnight we had to move rooms. We should have been told much earlier that the problem hadn't been resolved. The move took until about 1am, and the new room also had no cold water. Even the butler checking it seemed visibly frustrated. The next day, I tried to shower again, but the water was so hot it caused physical discomfort and I couldn't use it. We reported the problem again before going out, only to come back and find no repairs had been made. On departure day, someone arrived at 11:35am to work on it, just 25 minutes before checkout, when my friend still needed a shower. That was completely impractical. We were offered complimentary breakfast as compensation, but were later charged for it. That evening we were promised it again, then charged a tray fee the next morning instead. The poor communication and broken promises just added to the frustration. At checkout, nobody asked how our stay had been, though we saw other guests being asked. That lack of basic courtesy summed things up. Since my original complaint email, I've sent three follow-ups over two weeks and haven't received a reply. Be very wary of staying here. The problems during our visit were handled poorly, and the silence afterwards made us feel completely undervalued as customers. A hotel should be judged by how it deals with things going wrong and the response to complaints. The Address Connolly failed on both counts.
