Arnolds Hotel

We had a lovely stay, with a great view of the ocean and a good breakfast. James was especially helpful when we needed to find healthcare late at night, including NowDoc and a pharmacy.

We got to tour this historic hotel and enjoyed fresh oysters with an Irish coffee. The rooms are lovely, though there are quite a lot of stairs. I’m not sure how accessible it is, so check with the hotel staff first.

The staff were brilliant, and the decor is beautiful, with lovely views of Dunfanaghy. I called and was able to book a table for that same day. My medium rare 10oz sirloin came out wonderfully cooked, crisp outside and just right within. The tobacco onions, peppered shade and creamy mash were great with it, and the Malbec went really well too. I loved the meal. For dessert I had lemon tart with ice cream, which tasted very good together, though the tart itself was a little too thick and jelly-like for me. I’d recommend stopping in while visiting, but booking ahead is a good idea.

The room was a little dated, but it was clean and comfortable, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. We also loved the delicious shortbread cookies they sell at the front desk. Arnold's was lovely too, and we hope to come back soon.
