The Mill Restaurant & Accommodation

The gardens are lovely, there are cosy places to sit both inside and out, and the rooms are spotless. Even my German wife agreed! We also appreciated the hot showers and thoughtful extras like soap, bath soak and sparkling water. The staff were kind and friendly, and breakfast was wonderful, a real highlight. Definitely recommended.

The best part was coming back to a fire laid each evening in the cosy living area. We spent three nights at this warm, welcoming retreat, and Susan & Derek went out of their way to make us feel like special guests. We loved the view from our room and the lovely gardens, especially watching the birds over breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, and Susan & Derek gave us great suggestions for dinners and things to see around Dunfanaghy. Don’t miss the view from Horn Head.

Susan made us feel very welcome during our short stay with my wife and brother-in-law. The breakfast buffet and hot dishes were superb, and the spacious room and public areas had a lovely charm, with old-fashioned furniture and beautiful watercolours by previous owner Frank Eddington. The Mill is a wonderful base for exploring a very special part of the world. It’s among the best B+B or small hotels I’ve stayed in, possibly the best. Many thanks, Susan. We hope to return.

The house and its views are amazing, and Dunfanaghy is a 10-15 minute walk away. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and individually furnished. Breakfast had a great choice and was excellent, one of the best we had on our Ireland vacation.
