Maureen made us feel welcome from the moment we rang the doorbell at Comeragh View, and looked after us so well. We enjoyed chatting with her much more than using the common room and its large television. The Waterford Crystal in the cabinet comes with a few stories. Our room was brightly decorated, with a double and single bed, charming little decorative touches, plenty of pillows to choose from, and extremely comfortable beds. It was quiet at night, and with only a few guests we heard no noise from anyone else. In the morning, a good shower with serious pressure was followed by an excellent, plentiful and very tasty breakfast that kept me going for most of the day. Comeragh View sits a little way off the main road, up a small hill with nice views on the way in. The nearest city is quite a bit away and there’s no public transport around, so you’ll need your own transport. We had a very enjoyable stay and I can highly recommend it.

The surrounding area is beautiful and well worth visiting. Maureen and Tony gave us great advice about places to visit, eat, swim and walk, and they were warm, friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived. The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable, beautifully decorated and pristine. Breakfast had a delicious cooked option as well as yogurts, cereals, juices and plenty to suit different tastes. We’re looking forward to coming back to hike the Commeragh Mountains. Many thanks, I highly recommend this BnB.

My mother and I stayed one night during our road trip, and this was one of the highlights of our time in Ireland. It’s in a pretty spot surrounded by nature, close to the sea and the lovely town of Dungarvan. The room was super cozy, everything was neat and cute, and the people were warm and welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, all for an extremely reasonable price. 100% recommend.

Maureen was very nice, and she and her husband made us a wonderful full Irish breakfast. Everything was neat and clean, and we enjoyed our stay with them. I’d highly recommend them.

The room was super clean, with fresh laundry, and they changed the towels and facecloths every day. The food was amazing: fresh local strawberries and blueberries, lots of cereal choices, the best Full Irish we’ve had, and a large pot of coffee. One afternoon we brought back a snack from a local shop to eat in the dining room, and Maureen brought out homemade cake and coffee. We all sat chatting for ages. Tony even offered us a whiskey in the evening, and we saw him driving cycling guests to town and back. Nothing was too much trouble. This is a little gem for visiting Dungarvan or Ardmore, with a sea view and a short walk to the beach. The best part was meeting Maureen and Tony. They welcome you into their home and treat you like family. If you’re after an authentic experience in Ireland, you need to visit them. We’ll definitely be back.
