Rathsallagh Country House Hotel

We celebrated a wedding here and the staff and management were so lovely and helpful, doing everything they could to make the stay a great one. The food was top quality, and with 36 guest rooms there's plenty of choice for where to spend time, whether you're after somewhere lively or a quiet, relaxing spot. It's a beautiful old country house, and a great escape from busy city life. Thoroughly recommend it.

The food was faultless all day, from breakfast and lunch that morning through to the canapés and wedding meal. Joe, the owner, checked in with us several times, which we really appreciated. Catherine was brilliant in the lead-up and made sure every detail was covered. We felt relaxed throughout, partly thanks to Megan, our coordinator on the day, who looked after everyone so well. The glam room and lads dressing room were both great to have. The ceremony room was gorgeous and made the occasion feel intimate. The whole day went without a hitch. We're so grateful for the lovely memories we made at Rathsallagh House and can't wait to visit again. We'd recommend it wholeheartedly.

The bar staff were brilliant all weekend, friendly, professional and so efficient. Our guests loved them, and they kept things moving smoothly. Having the BBQ on day two gave us a relaxed, fun chance to spend more time with family and friends. It made the celebration feel like a full wedding weekend. Megan and Catherine, we're so grateful for everything you did. You kept the planning calm, organised and exciting, even with all our questions. Your reassurance and attention to detail helped us enjoy the day instead of feeling overwhelmed. The girls in the office were on the ball early on, too. Our outdoor ceremony looked beautiful and ran effortlessly, thanks to all that planning. The scenery made a breathtaking backdrop and gave the ceremony a special, intimate feel. Everything was set up beautifully, and the atmosphere was magical. We're so thankful for the memories this venue helped us make, and couldn't recommend it more highly.

The Christmas decorations added a little extra magic, and the food was fabulous. We especially appreciated the owner coming over to ask how we were enjoying our meal. We were welcomed by the warmth of the fires and lovely lights after arriving in the dark and rain. My husband and I try to get away for one night each December without the kids, and this year we picked Rathsallagh Country House. Everyone was so friendly, and we loved the laid-back charm and gorgeous setting. It has the shabby-chic feel you'd expect in a country house. Our room was spacious and warm, and the bath was a lovely touch. We really enjoyed our stay and are glad to support a place that takes such good care of its customers.
