Declan's hospitality is what made this stay a five-star one for us. He was warm and welcoming, made us an amazing Irish breakfast, and really went out of his way when we asked about something local. He brought out guidebooks, shared a little history and gave us thoughtful advice to point us toward the things we were interested in. My fiancé and I toured Ireland in October, and Newpark House was easily our favourite place we stayed. The property was breathtaking, and Ennis was such a charming, fun town. We still talk about the places we missed and need to see next time, and just as often say we have to return to newpark house someday. Thank you for everything, Declan!

The peaceful setting, lovely rooms and proper Irish feast at breakfast made Newpark House a wonderful place to stay. Declan is the very picture of Irish hospitality. If you're there on a chilly evening, you might even get to sit by a warm fire in the Victorian living room.

Declan puts a lot of work into making sure you have a good stay, and I was impressed that he runs everything himself. The house is very old and full of character, but still felt clean and tidy. We had a great time in such a quiet, peaceful place. The only thing we'd change is the bed, which was too firm for us; we wished it were softer.

The beds were comfortable and our room had so much space, enough that a third person could have stayed with us. Declan and Bernie were amazing, and our quiet room looked out over the garden. It had everything I could think of, either in the room or just outside in the hallway. Breakfast was lovely and welcoming, with wonderful guests to share it with. We spent one cold evening inside by the fire, drinking wine. The common areas were cosy and beautifully decorated, and the library was wonderful. I wish I'd had more time in there, especially since you could research your family tree during a stay. The amenities were so nice, and it's close to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway. I hope to visit again soon.

Newpark House was the loveliest B&B of our road trip, even though we only stayed one night. Declan was a perfect host, and breakfast was fabulous. I had what may have been the nicest porridge I've ever tasted, and my partner had a full Irish breakfast that they said was the best of our trip. The house is beautiful, with a gorgeous sitting room for guests and a dining room that's hard to beat in a B&B. Our bed was lovely and comfortable too. The location works well for walking or driving into the town centre, or as a stop if you're setting off early the next day. I'd definitely recommend Newpark house for a stay in Ennis.
