Coolakay House

We loved spending time in the garden and visiting the ponies, and the grounds are gorgeous. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and it’s an easy trip from Dublin, with a handy base for exploring the area. Yvonne was kind and helpful, and her full Irish breakfast was the best we’ve had. The loveliest B&B I’ve visited. We can’t wait to come back, 10 stars! 🌟

The garden and the view are beautiful. Yvonne’s welcome and hospitality made us feel right at home. She’s a legend.

Robert kindly took time away from farming to show us his collection of old tractors, most of them fully restored, and explain farming implements going back over 200 years. He was a pleasant, informative guide. Yvonne looked after us from the moment we arrived, bringing tea and biscuits and chatting with us right through to our departure. She cooked a lovely full Irish breakfast herself. Thank you both for such amazing hospitality. If you want real Irish hospitality while visiting Ireland 🇮🇪, this is the place. Five stars all around. Coolakay’s scenery is stunning, and Yvonne greeted us so warmly on Thursday evening that we knew we’d enjoy the visit. Our bright room had an en-suite, and both the room and bed were comfortable. We slept well, and breakfast was delicious. We’d happily recommend this B&B and will definitely return.
