The Enniskerry Inn

It’s lovely inside, with fireplaces and little nooks and snugs tucked everywhere. A cosy drink or a long lunch would both suit the place well. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I’d definitely return. There are quite a few stairs, so if access is a concern, call ahead to arrange an accessible table. 💕

After hiking the Wicklow Way, we stopped in for a Sunday roast. It was pretty crowded, but the service stayed attentive. When I asked to move tables, the staff were very accommodating, and the food was good.

We were a group of six, and all of us left disappointed. The bar waiter was rude, the food was expensive, and the portions were tiny. I’d been really looking forward to the coq au vin, but it had no taste. The fish cake was just one piece for around €12-€15, which shocked us. It wasn’t worth the money or the visit.

On a rainy Monday evening, I found myself on an unplanned trip to the outskirts of Bray and needed somewhere to spend an hour or two. The cafes had closed for the day and the other restaurants weren’t open, so I tried The Enniskerry Inn. It has a welcoming bar and restaurant, with a cosy, relaxed feel for locals and hotel guests. I tried a starter and liked both its flavour and presentation. The homemade tiramisu was good too, and the service was very friendly.
