Knockree Hostel

Nature walks were lovely, and we even swam in the river. The students LOVED the experience and praised how Yogi Friendly the hostel was. It felt like a Nature Spa, with a warm, welcoming setting for renewal and wellness. The rooms were fresh and clean, and the beds were warm and comfy. There are big open spaces and beautiful ART on the wall, and the hostel itself was so clean and fresh. Andy is a great manager. Liz Sheehan An Oige associate facilitated me for the yoga retreat and could not have been more helpful. Setting up a retreat and creating just the right zen vibe takes a lot of effort, and she helped make everything feel right. Liz is FIVE star all the way, thank you Liz. I’m grateful she brought me here for a successful collaboration, and I look forward to future retreats. It was their (An Oiges )first one ever. We loved our stay here. The staff were the sweetest, and it was clean, with a really nice kitchen where we could make our own food. Breakfast was available too. The surrounding nature is beautiful, and it’s a great area for hiking. ☀️🌿

The beds were very good, the price affordable, and the staff welcoming. The place also seemed very suitable for people with special needs. It’s a bit isolated in the mountains. Breakfast had rather limited choices, and our shower had no hot water.

A spacious hostel with lovely views, good parking, and friendly staff. Sleeping facilities were adequate. The main drawback was cooking: there were only two microwaves, and of the three cookers, two didn’t work while the third worked only partly.
