My aunt and I dropped in for dinner on a Thursday, without a booking, and they had a table ready. Parking was easy too. It’s a cozy restaurant with a lovely warm feel, just right for a winter evening. I ordered the fish pie, which I think had salmon, cod and prawns; my aunt had fish and chips, which looked tasty. We were too full to try dessert, though what we saw at other tables looked good. We didn’t stay at the hotel, just came in to eat.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Pubs and restaurants are about a 20-minute walk along the water if you don’t mind walking, and the views are beautiful. A perfect place to stay in Galway.

The portions are enormous, that’s the only problem! After the lovely baked Brie, I just couldn’t manage the duck. Great service and really good food, and definitely worth a visit while you’re in Galway.

We couldn’t get a room at the inn because it was fully booked, but came for dinner on our first night in Galway. There were seven of us, meeting up with family on a busy Saturday evening. The staff were friendly and handled the service well. We all enjoyed the food and drinks and had a great time together. On Sunday, after asking first, we used the patio to play cards. It was cold and rainy, so nobody else was out there, and we appreciated being allowed to sit. Our kids stayed at the inn and said it was very nice. I’d recommend the restaurant and would return if we came back to Galway.

Rogelio took such good care of us at lunch. He was attentive, friendly, easy to talk to, and kept checking that we had what we needed. The food was delicious too, with lovely presentation and plenty of flavour, but his kindness made the meal especially enjoyable. We left delighted and hope he’ll be our waiter when we come back. Thanks so much!
