Ardawn House

We really enjoyed our four nights at Ardawn House in Galway. It felt cozy and homey, and the room was warm and clean. Anna from Germany was especially helpful and gave us great recommendations around Galway. Everyone on staff was kind and welcoming, and we looked forward to the delicious breakfast each morning. 💖

The staff were so friendly and helpful, with good tips on places to visit. They even rang us when we left a sweater behind. Breakfast was excellent: the pancakes were spectacular, and the full Irish was hearty and filling. Our room was clean and very comfortable, and there was a bowl of sweets in the shared area, which was a nice touch for families. The building itself doesn't have much to do, but the city centre is a ten-minute walk away. There's also a bus practically outside that goes through the city to salthill, handy for the aquarium or beach. The beach is walkable too, about 40 minutes, though Galway's weather makes the bus useful. It's a lovely little B&B guesthouse and I'd especially recommend it to families. I didn't see any lifts, so it may not work for guests with accessibility needs. It's a quiet house as well, so probably not suited to travellers looking for a mad one.

The room was comfortable, with a great bed and plenty of storage, and the bathroom was spotless. Clara was a 10/10 host, warm and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Self-service coffee and tea were available all the time. We were also kindly allowed to use the laundry facilities, which made packing much easier. Waiting for the laundry to finish may have been the most fun I've had doing a chore in my 60+ years. Van-Dennis made trip planning pleasant too. His messages were friendly, charming, and very helpful. Ardawn House was the best place we stayed during our ten-day trip through Ireland. I was unsure at first about the price, since many places to stay and eat in Ireland seemed more expensive than I'm used to, but the value felt well worth it. I'd gladly stay at Ardawn House again when I'm in Galway. The hospitality and personal care made a big difference.

The free breakfast was amazing, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean, with a convenient location for transport and shopping. There's a stadium directly behind it, so check the event schedule if noise from events might bother you.
