The Savoy Hostel

I've stayed at Savoy many times and can't think of a single downside. It's modern, clean and quiet, the location is great, and the other guests have always been pleasant and respectful. Beds are really comfortable and the bathrooms feel hotel quality. Staff are helpful, and reception is open 24 hours. Highly recommended.

The location is pretty decent, but what you get for the price is way below standard. The beds are hard and too small for anyone over 180cm, and the kitchen is tiny and missing basics. There wasn't even a frying pan, so I couldn't cook an egg in the morning. The shower has no curtain, which leaves the whole bathroom wet, and each room had a different smell. Even the breakfast toaster smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in ages and something had burned inside. This was the most expensive hostel on our trip and also the worst. Do not go here!

The beds were comfortable and the hostel is very central, but the kitchen is small and poorly equipped. For the four days I stayed, keeping it clean was a problem. Guests weren't cleaning up, and staff only dealt with the mess after I pointed out how dirty it was. They need to supervise the area better. I won't be coming back.

Even the dorm with the most beds had enough space, and it was quiet. Each bed has a little shelf above it for your things and charging devices. The bathroom was large and clean. There’s also a nice common room with a pool table, where you can cook dinner or breakfast.
