The Snug Townhouse

The Snug Galway made for a really enjoyable stay. Being right in the city centre made it easy to get out and see Galway, and the place felt comfortable and welcoming. There's no lift, which could be difficult for some people, but it didn't take much away from the visit. I'd happily rate it 10/10.

Rory, the manager, was hilarious and full of great recommendations, and the rest of the staff were amazing too. The rooms were in mint condition and snug, just right for a single traveller or a couple packing light. You're close to all the action, with pubs, cafes, and restaurants nearby. It gets noisy late at night, but earplugs solve that. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I booked three nights and wound up extending to six. The room was spotless, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in, and those pillows were incredible. Somehow it was completely quiet at night, even though the place is right in the middle of everything. Quay Street has a brilliant atmosphere, and Rory and the rest of the staff made me feel at home. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and Rory went out of his way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. He was a real part of what made my trip to Galway so good. I'll absolutely stay again and highly recommend this as one of Galway's best places to stay.

From the train station, it's an easy short walk, and The Snug Hotel is handy for just about everything. Our little room felt like home, with plenty of comfort and charm. Rory at the desk pointed us toward food, pubs, music, and places to see. A full five stars from us.
