The room was clean and adorable, right next to the beach. The price isn't exactly cheap in my opinion, but still affordable. I got back really late and asked if they had any desserts left. They said no, but when they heard I'd travelled there with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday that night, they made us a dessert for free. That was so sweet. I've been telling my friends to stay here if they visit Galway.

Dinner was really tasty, with great combinations. The mushroom risotto and pork belly went well together, and the goat cheese mousse special was great too. They had a distinctive beer from Donegal and good wine choices. Everything was so good we forgot to take photos. The room was as described online, clean and tidy, and very cosy. We faced the street and heard some cars overnight, but it wasn't too loud. It could get stuffy in warm weather. The ceiling seemed a little thin, though I think something heavy was dropped upstairs. There are two nearby free parking lots, but they're very crowded, so plan ahead if you want to get a spot.

The cosy, stylish décor has loads of character, and we felt comfortable as soon as we walked in. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive without hovering, and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious, with every dish seeming carefully made and full of flavour. You can tell there's real passion behind it. A lovely place for a relaxed, classy meal.

The service was the weak point. I know the restaurant was busy, but I expected each table to get a moment of attention and a smile. A place like this could use staff who seem more energetic and friendly. Most of the food was great, and the beefcakes were amazing. The calamari rings seemed close to frozen, but it was still a good meal. I'd recommend the creme brulee.
