Citypoint Apartments

Spotlessly clean, well laid out, with a great city view and a brilliant location. Check-in is as convenient as a hotel, while the apartment gives you your own independence. Once the only thing I can fault is the lack of bathroom shelves, you know it’s a find. Heartily recommend.

We had everything we needed in the apartment, and the full kitchen meant we didn’t have to eat out every night. The location was central, and having parking was very handy, since finding a space in Galway can be difficult and costly over a weekend. The only thing I’d change is adding a fan. Even with the heating off, it was quite warm in the good weather. We stayed for a Father’s Day weekend. The access instructions felt a bit daunting at first, but basically you park in the free guests’ car park at the back of the Western Hotel and take the stairs up to reception. I’d definitely stay again. It ticked all the boxes for us.

A beautiful, family-friendly apartment near Galway city center, with lots to see and do within walking distance. The only snag was that the clothes washer didn’t dry the laundry.

The apartment was clean and easy to reach on foot, and parking was simple once we had the key fob. For check-in, go to Western Hotel and drive around the back, as parking out front isn’t convenient. I had a few questions and tried calling reception several times, but no one answered. Luckily, I found a cleaning attendant who didn’t speak much English but managed to understand what we needed.
