The location is amazing, but there are no staff on the premises. Getting the hot water or the building entry to work feels like solving an escape room, and has nothing to do with hospitality.

The location feels incredibly safe and friendly, and I'd stay here again in a second. Just know what kind of place you're booking. Some of the negative reviews may be from fellow Americans expecting a condo like the ones often rented through VRBO in the States. If that's what you have in mind, you'll be disappointed, though I still recommend staying here. Beds are small over here, and finding a place in Galway with king beds isn't happening. The bathrooms feel dated compared with the over-the-top luxury we're used to back home, and the same goes for the HVAC controls. Don't travel expecting everything to be the same as home.

The staff are friendly, the location is great, and the food is pretty good too. Prices are a bit higher than locally.
