I always stay here when I come to Galway. It’s a cozy B&B with very clean rooms, a nice breakfast, and free parking. The location is excellent, right by the beach, with bars, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby. The manager is kind, polite, and attentive, and can help with anything you need. Some rooms have a sea view.

The room was so disappointing that we left the next day, even though we’d been looking forward to spending another day in Galway. We had booked two nights in advance, but were sent to another hotel further down the road to collect the keys. What we got was an attic space, basically a cupboard poorly converted into a bedroom. The “ensuite” was wardrobe-sized, with the sink so close that you could rest your chin on it while sitting on the toilet. Check the room beforehand.

The room had a stunning view, and it was cleaned every day, but I wouldn’t come back or recommend the place. The whole facility felt really old, with single-glazed windows and a very old bathroom. The bed was painful to sleep in. Showering was an adventure because there was hardly any water pressure and the temperature was difficult to adjust. During a storm, rain literally dripped into the room. The owner said we had the best room, and it still didn’t feel welcoming.

We felt very comfortable here and would gladly stay again. Our room looked out over the ocean, and we saw a beautiful sunrise. The host was really kind, breakfast was delicious, and everything was very clean. We also had a nice bathroom with a bathtub. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the city centre.

The location was good, and we were glad to find a gourmet tart shop on our way out of town for breakfast. Breakfast wasn’t available at the place, so it would help if the staff member checking guests in had some suggestions. There didn’t seem to be anyone on staff when we checked out, just a sign asking us to leave the key. Most places, even fast food spots, were closed until late morning.
