Joan was a wonderful host, answering all our questions and helping us work out a ferry trip to the Aran Islands. Breakfast had plenty of good choices, and our room was comfortable. It was an easy walk into Galway and along the coast. I highly recommend this B and B.

Joan was lovely and made us feel welcome. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, with a real by-the-sea feel. It’s a great B&B, within walking distance of all the main tourist spots.

Joan was really helpful with directions wherever we wanted to go, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was fantastic. It’s a short walk into town, and you can follow the water all the way there if you like. We loved our stay and highly recommend giving them a chance.

Joan made us feel like we'd dropped in at our own mom's home, and we even had a chance to chat with her neighbors. My wife and I came over from the US for her sister's wedding and stayed at the Periwinkle in May, 2012. This review is well overdue, but we still remember how at home we felt from the moment we arrived. We'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for clean, welcoming accommodation.

The pancakes with maple syrup were a real highlight, and the landlady was lovely. The place was cosy, clean, comfortable and central. We had a great time and would come back : )
