The Duplex at Gort Na Coiribe, by Shortstays

The door couldn't close properly because it had been deliberately blocked with a metal plate, and there were clear signs the apartment had been forcibly entered. The mattresses were filthy and the floors visibly dirty. When we reported the problems, we were ignored and passed around without an explanation or solution. No one took responsibility, and it felt as though guest safety, hygiene, and basic hospitality didn't matter. This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I've had. Avoid it at all costs; I would never recommend it.

Beautiful apartments in a central spot, with easy access to Galway city centre.

The house was cozy and clean, and the surrounding area was lovely, especially for a little morning jog. The city centre is quite close, and supermarkets and a little mall are extremely convenient, just a 5/10-minute walk away. I really enjoyed staying here. I didn't meet Frank, but we kept in touch by chat, and he always replied and helped whenever I had a question.

We only needed the house to sleep in, which was lucky. It looked alright from the outside, and the location was okay, but inside it smelled and needed a lot of work. The beds weren't comfortable, and the mattresses had clearly seen better days. Not great when you've already got a bad back. It felt a lot like student accommodation.
