I stayed for a day or two, seven years ago in April 2017, and still remember this B&B. From the rooms you can see the field before the sea and the distant hills. One evening we asked about a pub, and the owners recommended O'Connor pub, five minutes away on foot. It later appeared in a singer's video clip. The breakfast was typical and carefully prepared, though after all these years I can't remember the owners' names. The rooms were clean, traditional, and well kept, with the house's distinctive "WHITE" touch making them feel welcoming and elegant. From outside it looks like an ordinary house, but inside you immediately find a clean, traditional place that really feels like home. The owners' warm welcome made it feel especially comfortable. I recommend it, 5/5. Definitely go! Sending the couple my warm regards, and thank you.

The staff went far beyond what we expected when our car got a flat tire as we were getting ready to leave. They helped us fit the spare and pointed us to a nearby auto shop, which got our vacation back on track. They were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay, including suggesting other places to eat when the cook was off duty. Breakfast costs extra, and unfortunately we couldn't have it during our visit. The white house was tricky to spot because the exterior is gray, and we drove right past it the first time. It's right by the sea and within walking distance of downtown Galway. Our room was clean and reasonably priced.

The staff were really friendly and even changed our booking from a double to a quadruple room when extra people joined us at the last minute. Our room had enough space to move around, and while the carpet and furniture were quite old, everything was clean. A refurbishment would be nice. Breakfast was simple and good, though it costs extra. The location is great, with the sea just across the road and a promenade for walks. The city center is about a 20-minute walk, and parking is provided in front. There's free Wi-Fi, and the entrance has pamphlets for trips around Galway or further afield. You can also ask the staff for recommendations.

Would I stay again? No. We did get a good night's sleep, though, with clean bedding and comfortable beds. The manager was friendly and helpful, check-in was an hour early, and pubs and food were within walking distance. The room itself smelled terribly stale and musty; I think the carpet needs replacing. The bathroom floor felt sticky, possibly because the sea is so close. Morning light came through because the curtains didn't block it, and both chairs had stained fabric that made them look dirty.

The staff were lovely and couldn't have done more for us. Room No. 3 was very dated and needed a lick of paint, and the shower tiles were cracked and needed repair. Being on the ground floor also meant hearing every footstep and constant door slamming.
