The owners were so friendly and had great suggestions for places to see, including the waterfalls in the nature reserve and the lovely garden on Garnish Island. Breakfast was superb, and with the owner being a chef, this is a great B&B for exploring the Beara peninsula.
I loved the river and waterfall walks nearby, and wish we’d had longer to enjoy the nature around us. Mary and Chris were kind, fun to chat with, and made us feel so welcome. They cooked a delicious vegan breakfast each morning. I had the vegan banana pancakes. Our clean room had a fridge, microwave, kettle, and tea and coffee.
Mary and Chris made us comfortable from the moment we arrived. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. If I’m back in the area, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
We booked three nights for my girlfriend and me, then asked to stay longer because the place was so relaxing. Chris and Mary were accommodating, friendly, and flexible. Their Irish breakfast was the best I’ve had at a B&B. It’s also well placed for visiting West Cork and the Rink of Kerry if you want to see more touristy spots. We’ll definitely return.
Breakfast was gorgeous, the hosts were really friendly, and our room was excellent and clean. Such a wonderful stay, an absolute gem.
