The welcome from Pat, Anneka and the rest of the team made us feel like family. We stayed at The Dolphin for the Bofin music festival, and it was a lovely base: clean, comfy rooms, a tasty breakfast, and a lift to and from the ferry. The harbour is about a 10 minute walk away, and there’s a gorgeous beach nearby for a daily swim. Pat’s a legend. A must stay on this idyllic island.

Pat picked us up at the pier when we arrived and gave us a lift back for our ferry the next morning. We stayed three nights on our first trip to Inisbofin, and I’d definitely come back. The hotel felt cosy and friendly, with a lovely cooked breakfast, a strong shower and warm blankets if you need them. Annieka served breakfast each morning and deserves a big thank you for her good humour and efficiency. Pat’s sharp and very funny with his one liners. We had one wet day, last Sunday, and the Olympics kept us going. My breakfast was a little late on departure morning, but I didn’t mind. I just wanted to keep it down in case the crossing was rough. Hope to see everyone again soon.

Pat made the whole visit easy, from picking us up and carrying our bags to checking us in and pointing out what to see and do on the island. He looked after breakfast too, then brought our bags down for the ferry. What a gentleman. Thanks for taking such good care of us. We'll be back for sure.

The room was clean, and we had fantastic views across the island. Breakfast had a nice selection, and the lunch and dinner menus were excellent. They also have a waste reduction policy, which is great for the local environment. Staff were great, and a van picked up all the guests from the ferry. I’d highly recommend using this hotel as your base on the island.

We’re definitely coming back, and staying longer next time. The room was cosy with a brilliant view, and both breakfast and dinner were amazing. Pat, the owner, collected us from the ferry, gave us helpful ideas for things to see and do, and was great craic in the bar. His advice was not to stress about the small things, and he was always willing to help.
