Davitt's Kenmare

We booked four rooms at Davitts of Kenmare for one night in April to surprise me for my 60th birthday, and the visit was wonderful from start to finish. My husband dealt with the owner, David, who was so helpful and accommodating. The rooms were spacious, cozy, and just what we wanted. He arranged early check-in so my adult kids could decorate our room with balloons and ribbons. The staff were very kind and friendly, and the food was superb both at dinner in the quaint bar and at breakfast the next morning. After checking out, we wandered around Kenmare. About 90 minutes to two hours later, as we were heading to our cars, a staff member spotted my daughter and her partner and returned my house keys, wallet, and an item of clothing we’d left in the room. We’d have been home before noticing, so that service was above and beyond. We can’t recommend Davitts enough and can’t wait to go back. Please visit, you won’t regret it.

We came for dinner rather than staying here. The location is right in the middle of downtown Kenmare, and the interior is quaint and nicely appointed. We ordered the chicken sandwich and chickpea veggie burger, and both were fabulous. It was our best meal in Ireland so far, and a nice change from traditional pub food. Highly recommend!

Davitts is right in the middle of town, with plenty of food and bars nearby. My partner and I stayed two nights recently and had a really pleasant time. The room was spotless and spacious, with a great shower, and the food was excellent, especially breakfast. I highly recommend the porridge. Everyone was welcoming, especially David, who was friendly and great to chat with. We’ll definitely be back.

The people here clearly care about their guests. The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome, and the warm, relaxed atmosphere made it feel like home. My room was spotless and comfortable, with lots of thoughtful little touches. The food was fresh, tasty, and beautifully cooked. I had such a lovely stay at Davitts and would definitely come back.
