Fuchsia Cottage

Maria and Joop were such welcoming hosts, always happy to help with suggestions for places to eat, local sights, and hikes. They live next door, and their homemade soda bread and little garden flowers in vases made us feel at home straight away. The cottage has a lovely terrace looking over their colourful, well-kept garden and Kenmare Bay, and the living room has the same wonderful bay view, with plenty of local tips and information to browse through. Inside, there's lots of space, large bedrooms, and a sink in every bedroom, which is handy when you're staying with a group. The kitchen has all kinds of utensils and is much better equipped than many holiday rentals. Having both a washing machine and a dryer was useful too, and there's a BBQ on the terrace. The first thing you notice is that sweeping view across Kenmare Bay. We loved staying here and could happily come back again and again, or just settle in for a couple of weeks without getting tired of the view.
