There’s no kitchen, but the lodging is close to several pubs and cafés where you can get great local food. I didn’t see any security lockers in my spacious, clean room. The showers and toilets were on the same floor and were spacious and clean too. There’s no parking, and traffic in Kenmare gets very crowded. Luckily, I managed to find a parking space not too far away.

No fuss, just simple and it did the job. The lodge is right in the heart of town, with a building and common room that have plenty of character. Everything was spotless. The bathroom and shower area were clean, the towel was new and fresh, and the bed sheets were too.

Failte Inn is quiet and orderly, but right by the pubs and shops on the high street. It’s also easy to get to both the Beara Way and Dingle Way trails. I’m glad Failte had a room available for my travel dates, and I’d definitely recommend it. The innkeepers were kind and efficient. My single room was very comfortable and impeccably clean, with crisp, spotless linens and towels. The shower had plenty of hot water. There’s a cozy common area with a TV, games, and up-to-date tourist information.

The hostel’s location in Kenmare is ideal, and there’s a shed where I could keep my bike. Aoife was so friendly, helpful, kind, and generous with her time. The rooms were neat and clean, and the beds are among the most comfortable I’ve had in a hostel. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the showers were always hot and powerful. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, if not the best.

We paid ~28€/person/night for a room with a private bathroom. Basic breakfast things were available too, including bread, butter, jam, coffee, and tea. The host, whose name I’m sorry to say I’ve forgotten, was very kind and took the time to explain everything. The hostel has lots of character and charm, with large, cozy common areas. The beds were comfortable, nothing magical, but good quality. I’d definitely stay again.
