We slept really well for both nights, and the great power shower was a highlight. The location is perfect, there’s parking at the back, and the room was clean, spacious and had all the facilities we needed. The bathroom was tiny but adequate. The TV wasn’t working, and there was nobody around to ask. There really wasn’t staff available to help with the accommodation, and there was no breakfast. The large window had no key, which felt like a fire hazard. 4/5

We stopped in for lunch in July 2019 and had delicious food with a beer. The staff were very helpful and the service was fast. The pub is right in the centre and has several seating areas, including one out back. Well worth a visit if you’re nearby.

The bar was very pleasant and the food was excellent. The bed was huge, and the price was very reasonable, so you do get what you pay for. The room still had some problems: bathroom tiles were missing from the wall, there was a big hole in the net curtain, and the bedroom had no real ventilation, making it sweltering and uncomfortable.

We popped in for a few drinks and to take in the atmosphere, and loved it. They had the rugby on, and it was fun hearing all the excitement and conversations around us. Great service and drinks!

The food is fantastic, and the place has a lovely atmosphere during the day. It suits tourists and locals on weekdays, with live music and DJs on weekend evenings for a younger crowd. Weekends are busy with hen and stag parties, and the place gets very fun and lively at night.
