I loved the bee-friendly garden designed for the front of the hotel. The beach is only about a six-minute walk away, and inside, the rooms were very clean, with crisp white linen and beds and pillows that were really comfortable. The staff were friendly too. It’s a relaxing, very nice place, and I’d recommend it to anyone. 😊

We stayed two nights and left unimpressed. Breakfast was badly overcooked, and we were told brewed coffee cost extra while instant was included. When guests asked for marmalade, they were told to rummage at the bottom of the basket. On both evenings I had to ask for milk with my tea. The saucers hadn’t been washed from the day before, the bedroom chairs were stained, and the bathroom basin had a greasy ring around it. Someone needs to take charge, show guests their custom is appreciated, and help with luggage instead of having the porter sit inside reception. Get things in order and you might earn repeat visits.

The staff were lovely, and you can walk to the beach, pubs and shops in just a few minutes. There isn’t much of a view from the hotel. For the cliff walks, it’s best to drive to one of the car parks beside the starting points and begin from there.

The young staff deserve credit from the new owners. They were so friendly and helpful, and really attentive to the details. The place has recently reopened, and we had a fantastic meal this evening with a great Guinness. Thanks for a lovely meal.

We only came in for a meal and didn’t stay, but had a really nice time. The food was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and efficient.
