The rooms are quiet, the heating stays on all night, and I slept really well. The staff are very friendly, and we had the nicest server for dinner, an older guy who was so nice. The bar menu is great, though onion and mushrooms don’t belong in a carbonara. Breakfast was lovely last time, but this time we couldn’t eat the sausages. They tasted like they’d been stored with raw meat, and maybe some butter as well. The food is generally lovely.

The bar has lovely old stonework, and the location is great. Dinner was really nice: the chips were beautiful, cooked in beef dripping, the pepper sauce was perfect, and the salad was fresh. I ordered my steak rare, but it came closer to medium. The flavour was still there. The full Irish was good, though the egg was overcooked. There was also smoked salmon, cheeses and cold meats, with good juice and coffee. I can’t fault my stay and recommend this hotel.

It’s easy to walk everywhere from here, and the hotel is just off the bus stop to Dublin. The hotel is stunning inside and out, and the staff are the most amazing, kind people. It’s my favourite hotel I’ve stayed in so far. You need to eat here, oh my word, delicious food and huge portions!

The key cards kept getting wiped when I put them next to my phone in my pocket, which was annoying. The staff were always happy to fix it, though. Friendly staff, great pubs attached, and a great place overall. It definitely earns its five-star rating and cost.

The staff were lovely, and the beers were a nice selection at a good price. I had a really nice beef burger. My only suggestion would be to add one more slice of cheese.
