I found the lodge a lovely spot to unwind, with peaceful surroundings and nature all around. It would also make a good base for outdoor activities. My room was comfortable, clean, and well kept, with what I needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were attentive and friendly, and happy to help with recommendations or special requests. I appreciated how welcoming and professional they were. I’d gladly return and recommend the place for a relaxing stay.
I slept so well on the very comfortable bed, and there was plenty of room in both the bedroom and bathroom. The room had lots of storage and charging sockets, plus biscuits, twirls, bottled water, and a kettle that worked. It's right by Dunnes, very central, and whoever set up the rooms clearly thought about what travelers need. A comfortable, affordable, enjoyable stay. I'll be back!
A quiet, very clean hotel with a comfy bed and lovely staff.
The room was warm and clean, with comfortable beds and pillows. The shower was hot and had good pressure. A friendly guy checked me in and handed over the room key. It was very reasonably priced, and I'd happily stay here again.
This was such a disappointing way to finish our six-day tour. Paddywagon Tours booked us into a room that was only 116 euros on several platforms, so it feels like they went cheap on the last night, despite us paying $3,000. My husband and I are celebrating 20 years of marriage, and this was a miserable fit for us. The room was so cramped I couldn't walk around the bed while my husband was there. I could sit on the bed with my feet in the "bathroom," which was really a closet. The shower was tiny, and I couldn't close the door to use it. There was no elevator, so we had to haul our luggage and backpacks up three flights of stairs, and we're no spring chickens. I also worried that there'd be no way to escape from the room in a fire. The hotel wasn't staffed, so I couldn't even ask for an extra towel. If you're a poor, drunk college kid looking for somewhere cheap in Killarney, this may suit you. It certainly wasn't for us.
