No 20 Killarney Holiday Village

It was convenient, with lots of parking, and felt safe. But the holiday village cottage had no wifi, and the TV didn’t work or load Netflix, so it was basically useless.

There were seven of us, and we had loads of room in this little holiday village. The location was perfect, and it felt like home from home. On arrival we found a lovely food hamper, a thoughtful touch after our 3.5 hour drive. The brown bread and jam with tea and coffee went down a treat. We got home after a few days and will definitely recommend the place and come back in the future. We stayed from 17 July 2020.

The welcome package was such a nice surprise after our long journey: rashers, sausages, eggs, lots of other treats, and even a couple of cold beers. The house was a great size for our family, with plenty of space and everything we needed to feel at home. Our kids could play freely and safely in the garden, and loved saying hello to the cows in the field facing it. The kitchen doors open right onto that garden. It’s an easy 20 minute walk to the town centre, or five minutes by car. The national park and Muckross House are just a few minutes away on foot. We also made use of the discounted pool at the nearby Gleneagle Hotel, which was great. We’ve visited Killarney several times, but after a fabulous week in number 34 Muckross Holiday Park, I’d choose Muckross Holiday Homes again. So glad we found it. We’ll be back soon.

It’s quiet, but great entertainment is only metres away, and getting into the centre of killarney is really easy.
