We stayed at the Fairview Hotel in mid-May 2026 and would gladly come back. Our first-floor room had twin beds, a spacious modern bathroom, and plenty of room for two. The proprietor and staff were all friendly and accommodating. The location worked really well, just a two-minute walk from the train station and close to everything Killarney has to offer. It’s central, but on a fairly quiet street. Five stars from us.

We never made it to our mid-April stay because the nationwide fuel protests led to the nearby event being cancelled at short notice, after the free cancellation period had passed. I expected to lose the money, but when I explained the situation through booking.com, the hotel kindly gave me a full refund even though they weren’t obliged to. I haven’t stayed there yet, but that kind of goodwill says a lot about the people behind The Fairview Boutique Hotel. I’d book with them without hesitation next time. Thanks to the team at booking.com and The Fairview Boutique Hotel.

The room was warm and cosy, and the location was really good. The shower pressure was so weak that washing my hair took ages, though. The poached eggs were the worst I’ve ever had, but the Full Irish the next day was great.

Dion made us feel welcome straight away at the Fairview Hotel. He helped with our bags and explained the area, parking, and nearby places. Such friendly, helpful service. He’s a real asset to the hotel.

Breakfast was a treat, with a plentiful buffet and tasty menu dishes from a wonderful chef. The hotel is small and cosy, and less than five minutes from the train station. Our room was comfortable, and they were lovely with both us and our dog. It’s pet-friendly, which was great. The service was excellent from reception to breakfast and housekeeping. I’d happily stay at The Fairview again if we return to Killarney, and I highly recommend having breakfast there.
