Torine House

Breakfast is offered, and the owner is very nice. The rooms are reasonably spacious and fine, nothing special, but they do what they promise. WiFi is really fast for the area. It’s in a rural spot, with spectacular views over fields and a sunrise visible from the distant view in the dining room. The stay feels personal, so it may not suit you if you want complete privacy.

The Irish breakfast was delicious and kept us going through the morning’s travels. Mum and I slept so well in our twin room, which actually had two double beds. Each bed had an electric blanket, something Mum especially enjoyed, and the ensuite felt like a treat. The accommodation is charming and very clean, the grounds are beautifully kept, and the views are stunning. It all felt relaxing, helped by our friendly hosts. Tony was full of useful advice on what to see, where to go, and the best route around the Ring of Kerry. His knowledge is impeccable. Tony and his wife made us feel very welcome at Torine House, and we had a wonderful stay. We’d love to visit Ireland and Torine House again. I truly recommend it to anyone visiting Ireland. The owners gave us helpful tips for the Ring of Kerry and restaurants in Killorglin without us even asking. They were extraordinarily friendly and attentive throughout. The room and bathroom were spotless, with everything in its place, which made for a very comfortable stay. We had free, good, fast WiFi, and parking on the property was free too, right in front of our room. Breakfast wasn’t included in our booking, so the Irish breakfast cost €10 per person. It was worth it, with a lovely breakfast room and nice service from the owner’s wife. Killorglin town centre is about a 10-minute walk away. There’s a short stretch without a pedestrian path, though traffic is light, or you can drive. We had a really nice stay, would definitely return, and can recommend it to anyone.

The owner was very pleasant. The room was small, and the shower water was warm. They don’t serve food here. We did have a fan, which helped in the hot weather.
