Hotel Actons

The family room worked really well for us because it had two separate rooms, and the kids loved having an indoor pool. Breakfast had a good range for both adults and children. The bathroom felt a little cramped, though, and there was barely anywhere to put clothes, so ours stayed in the suitcases for all three nights. Staff were very friendly. We could walk easily around the area, including to Kitty O Se's pub for a superb lunch.

The rooms were spacious and very pretty, with great showers and nice products. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were both excellent, and everyone we met there was extraordinarily friendly. Check-in was a warm welcome, and parking was simple in the large lot out front. We stayed four nights for a family holiday between Christmas and New Year's, and the hotel went beyond what we expected. A perfect place to stay in Kinsale.

The onsite restaurant served great food at reasonable prices, and the staff were helpful and very friendly. Our room was spotless and roomy during our two-night stay. Kinsale is a small, charming seaside town with lovely views, little shops, and local places to eat. We highly recommend it and will be back.

Our harbor-view room was comfortable, and we watched the St. Patrick’s Day fireworks from the window. We also loved wandering around Kinsale and meeting so many welcoming people. The hotel pub had plenty of good stout, although we kept coming back for Guinness. Breakfast was among the best we had in Ireland, and parking was easy. We'd visited Kinsale in 2019 without staying overnight, so when we planned a few days in town on our March 2025 trip, Acton Hotel was an easy choice. It's a short walk to the lively center, while still feeling peaceful enough to enjoy the views. We loved our stay and would gladly return.
