Kinsale Hotel & Spa

The staff were cheerful and the atmosphere was great throughout, and Jack at Reception deserves a special mention for being so helpful and informative. The hotel itself is stunning, warm, and welcoming. We stayed two nights just after Christmas, and the food was absolutely delicious, five-star all the way. We used the leisure centre a few times and would've liked bathrobes in the room. Netflix also wasn't available on the TVs. Even so, I'd highly recommend the hotel, and we'll be back soon.

Our October 2025 wedding at Kinsale Hotel & Spa was wonderful. The day went to plan, and the venue was stunning. We were organising everything from Singapore, and Laura, the wedding co-ordinator, made it manageable: she replied quickly, took calls, offered lots of advice, and handled every request without fuss. She and the team were professional, organised, and attentive from start to finish, so we could enjoy the day while they coordinated everything behind the scenes. We also want to thank Kelvin and the bar staff. We hoped to serve Singapore Sling cocktails at the drinks reception, so at the menu tasting they let us try the cocktail. It was new for the bar, and they made four batches, adjusting the recipe with our feedback until we were happy. On the wedding day they set up a small bar to make them fresh for guests. Everyone loved them, and people still mention the cocktails. The staff were attentive, friendly, and courteous to our guests. The meal's presentation, flavour, and service were impeccable, and the chef came out to check on us. Our guests still rave about the food, from canapés through to the meal. A special thanks to John, who looked after us all weekend, made sure we had what we needed, and went out of his way for the party. He was professional and organised, but also so friendly. We appreciated him chatting with our parents, family, and guests. We'd planned the wedding carefully, but hadn't thought much about how the day itself would feel. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and had nothing to worry about. Thank you to Laura, John, and the whole team. We can't recommend Kinsale Hotel & Spa enough.

John made me feel heard when I had a reservations issue, and that meant a lot. Laura and John were an outstanding team, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The bar staff were dancing and great craic, the wait staff were lovely, and the chef even came out to check on us. I'm gluten-free, so I really appreciated how accommodating they were. The food was delicious, and one guest said it was the best salmon she'd ever had. We planned the wedding from Australia and arrived at the hotel the evening before. We got married here on Saturday, and my mum had passed away in May, so it was a tough day. Everyone helped make it feel magical. Thanks to all for making it so special. John, I hope you found that grapefruit juice, and thanks to Dino too.

Our rooms were spotless and comfortable, and breakfast had lots of tasty sweet and savoury choices. The staff were friendly, and the food was really good, especially the special New Year's dinner we'd booked in advance. The spa was disappointing. The sauna and steam room were okay, but only one of the pool's eight stations worked, the standing bubbles. The jets, small waterfalls, and reclining bubble beds were all out of order. The whirlpool also seemed to be occupied constantly by people coming from the gym. It would've been a great stay if the pool had been repaired.
