Knock House Hotel

We booked this hotel by mistake because it was within an hour of Westport, thanks to the algorithms, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise and excellent value. The bed was extremely comfortable, the food was excellent, and gluten-free meals were no problem. It's very close to Knock shrine. There aren't loads of knick-knacks or religious images everywhere, which was a relief for an agnostic and an atheist. The staff were lovely.

Room 235 was a spacious, comfortable accessible room. The bathroom was thoughtfully laid out, with room for a roll-in shower and a handy counter for toiletries. Part of the counter was cut away underneath, so a wheelchair could roll in easily. We could also see the Basilica from our window, and the hotel's location made it easy to attend the Good Friday and Easter services. The food was delicious, and the waiters were pleasant and attentive. The staff made our stay memorable, especially Stephen at reception, Joan in housekeeping, and Sharon in the restaurant. Everything exceeded expectations, and we'd highly recommend Knock House Hotel.

The atmosphere is peaceful and well suited to pilgrims. Staff in the hallways were gracious and always greeted us, while the front desk team were helpful and looked things up online whenever they weren't sure. The rooms are clean, simple, and comfortable. The Courtyard restaurant has a fine menu, and breakfast offers plenty of choices. We enjoyed our stay at Knock House Hotel and will stay here again if we return to Knock.

My room at Knock House hotel was good quality, and the food was great. Every staff member I dealt with, from the cleaning team to reception and the waiters, was lovely and professional. The reception area was bright and a really nice place to sit. My stay was perfect. Thanks.
