Don't come here. I experienced a xenophobic attack. I was staying with friends, and we had no hot water from the previous night until 10:30 that day, basically checkout time. I told the staff member, and he replied, “so what”. When I asked why, he said mockingly that it wasn't his problem. I said it would've been helpful to get a heads up if the whole lodge didn't have enough water or if there was a technical issue. He kept interrupting me, speaking rudely and not letting me finish, so I talked faster to make my point. Then he told me not to talk aggressively, even though he had been rude and mocking from the start. He went on to say, “this is not Spain”, implying that because we're from Spain we're savages who don't know how to behave. We weren't even told about the hot water problem at the hotel. Maybe I'm crazy, but bringing our nationality into it to dismiss my complaint felt quite xenophobic.

The homemade yogurt was the best I've ever had, and the staff were very nice. We spent two nights here and really enjoyed the village. It's a beautiful spot on the fiord, a minute's walk from the property, and handy for Connemara National Park, nearby sheep farms, fishing, boating and more.

A comfortable room, very friendly hosts and an excellent breakfast with an amazing view made for a great one night stay. It's a handy location for visiting Connemara national park or stopping along the Wild Atlantic way. Can definitely recommend it.

The hosts are lovely, and breakfast is hearty and good. For the money, this may be decent accommodation, but it could use a major update to feel current. The spring mattresses weren't great, and having separate hot and cold taps seems a little primitive in the 21st century.
