Lord Bagenal Inn

Breakfast was freshly cooked, and our dinner in the bar/restaurant was tasty, with a great range of options. The staff were friendly and courteous the whole time. Reception welcomed us warmly, and our room was spotless. On arrival, the freshly cut flowers smelled lovely, and there was an open reception area with plenty of seating, plus a quiet corner where you could sit with a book and a glass of wine. A real hotel gem. I'd recommend dropping in if you're passing.

I enjoyed every moment here. The suite was luxurious, with a very comfortable bed, and the food was delicious. The staff were super friendly, courteous and professional. Everything was gorgeous, from the tasteful colours and furniture to the carpets. I think this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Highly recommend.

My parents live locally, so I've been coming to the lord bagenal for years, and it never disappoints. James and the rest of the staff make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. The service is attentive without hovering, and the cosy atmosphere is great whether you're catching up with friends or just grabbing a quick bite. I love sitting out back by the river with a glass of wine, watching the sunset, even after walking the gorgeous river track in gym gear. Such a special place. Well done to the whole team. 👍🏻🥂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😘

This is about our meal last night, not the rooms. Everything felt wedding standard, right there in the restaurant: the taste, quality, presentation, dining room, atmosphere and waitress. The Thai green curry had the softest, plumpest prawns I've ever had. I also tried the battered fish beside me, the chicken chow mein and chicken curry, and they were delicious. Thanks to LB for a brilliant meal out. I fully recommend it.
