Ballyraine Guesthouse

Breakfast had great choices and was delicious, and the place was comfortable and very clean. My only small gripe was the location a little outside town. When you leave, you’re sent one way, so getting back means going around through heavy traffic. Still, I loved the place.

The staff were very welcoming, and the rooms were warm and clean. It’s in a quiet area outside the centre of Letterkenny, across from a big bowling alley and arcade. We’ll definitely be back!

Mary is a gem and was a true friend to us. On our third day in Ireland, my husband got very ill with a chest infection, and she made a call so I could speak with a doctor. Then she drove all three of us to urgent care. The doctor saw us right away, gave us prescriptions and a letter for hospital admission if needed, and Mary waited while I filled the prescriptions at a pharmacy. It was a rough patch, but her help meant we could finish our two week vacation. My husband recovered well and we had a great time. The place itself is immaculate and the breakfast terrific, but Mary’s care made it much more than a B&B. If you’re stopping in Donegal, this is where you want to stay. Thanks, Mary!
